We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our products. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable features that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support frontend and third-party integrations.
Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of backend applications.
Work with PostgreSQL to design efficient data models and queries.
Contribute to the architecture and migration toward microservices-based systems.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with appropriate documentation.
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and uphold engineering best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and staging environments.
5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
Strong expertise in Python and Django.
Proven experience designing and building REST APIs.
Solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
Exposure to or hands-on experience with microservices architectures.
Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing and CI/CD.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with asynchronous frameworks (Celery, FastAPI).
Understanding of system design and distributed systems.
